About This Community

Coding with Chris is about creating a community of individuals who want to better themselves by learning a new skill, in particular, coding. I want to take my 7 years of Professional Web/Software Development and pass the knowledge on. The one thing I absolutely can't stand are universities that charge tens of thousands of dollars for outdated knowledge and you end up having to learn EVERYTHING over again as soon as you are done, not to mention pay back all of those costly student loans. Why not learn the skill for virtually nothing, or at the very least, if there are paid courses that I offer, they are reasonably priced and provide a ton of value. That's the kind of community I want to build here with Coding with Chris and I hope you want to join that vision as well.

About Chris

I started my journey in coding at the ripe old age of 26 years old. My wife and I just had our first child about 6 months before, and I finally had figured out what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to get into Web Development. I had always been interested in this starting at the age of 12 when I created the website for my Boy Scout Troop. But I had lost interest a while back.

So I went to school for 3 years, luckily I had been working for a school so the tuition was covered and all I had to do was pay for the books. Some of the general education credits transferred from years before so it shortened my Bachelor's degree track. When I was just about graduated, I got my first job as a web developer with a local company that specialized in property management websites. There, they taught me a ton about being an actual Web Developer which I was grateful for.

Now, 7 years later and I'm a Senior Software Engineer, setting my sights on Principle Software Engineer and I finally want to share all of the knowledge I have gathered over the years to help others that want the same thing.
